Sherrie Romale Ganier born to George and Ruth Andrews on July 11th, 1957. She was the youngest of five children. Sherrie and her mother were like Sanford and Son and were a constant source of entertainment for her sisters, She took college courses in high school and obtained a Graduate degree in psychology from Chicago State University . She then married Mark Ganier and moved to Arizona to start her new life. An activist with Mark, she wore afro hairstyles, and passed out leaflets at student meetings at Arizona State University where she met her close friend Celeste . In 1989 she relocated to California with her sister Audray and fell in love with the area. She, with her educational experience, gained employment with Lockheed-Martin and worked there for 30+ years. There she met he best friend Tamika . She lived in Milpitas California until her death. Sherrie had a thirst for life. She lived life to the fullest. She loved new challenges and experiences. Loved to go from one adventure to the next, and share her experiences Her oldest sister Audray says she was "Industrious, always kept up with the new trends in technology". Favorite quote was "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" Her own favorite words were “ I LOVE YOU” She lived by 'the eight Beatitudes' Matthew chapter 5:3-12. She named her son after the book of her favorite bible quotes. Her favorite song to sing was "Que Sera, Sera" by Doris Day. She gave back to the community: Volunteered with flame keepers program for high schoolers, Donating breakfast to second grade class for 5 yrs, Donating tax services to those in need, Teaching Sunday school at her church, Volunteering with the NAACP. Was a Republican helping the John McCain campaign in early 80s where he won the election. She joined his staff after the election. Proceeded her in death parents George and Ruth Andrews, sister Yolanda Andrews. Left to mourn her is her son Matthew Ganier of Monterey, Ca; sister Audray Andrews of Atlanta, Georgia; Brother Clyde Andrews and Sister-in-love Darlene Andrews from Chicago, Il; sister Joyce Andrews of Mesa, Arizona; and Bonus sister Tamika 'Ty' Pittman of San Jose, Ca. A host of Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and loved ones; and friends who she considered family.
